We are pleased to announce Doug and his wife Claire have delivered their latest project bang on deadline, with the birth of little Isla Faye at 3.35pm this afternoon (3rd October). For stats fans, Isla weighed in at 7 lb, 12 oz. Mother and baby doing fine. Rhianna and Cameron very excited about their new sister. Congratulations to you all from the Pure Creative team.
This week, the Pure team ventured out of the studio and headed to the Lake District to visit Kankku – the 4×4 off-road and rally driving experts based in Windermere.
Pure is about to embark on the redesign of the Kankku website and new marketing materials, so owner Nick Fieldhouse invited us to spend the day getting the full off-road experience. Under the patient guidance of Kankku team member Ellen, we all took turns behind the wheel of the Land Rover Defender, tackling three hair-raising routes across the spectacular Cumbrian countryside.
It wasn’t just about the fun and challenge of taking on the mountains; we were also hard at work photographing and shooting video of the day so we can use the footage on the new site – certainly not a typical Tuesday in the office!

Kankku HQ – Graphics by Pure!
Community 1st Oldham has just launched its brand new website, designed and developed by Pure Creative.
Community 1st is a public private partnership established under the Department of Health’s LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) scheme. The organisation’s primary focus is on developing and delivering state-of-the-art community facilities to support improved primary care provision, and providing local communities an excellent opportunity to benefit from investment being made towards a healthier future.
The new site reflects all of Community 1st’s activities in Oldham with case study sections focusing on building projects and community engagement schemes.
Building projects are plotted out on a map of the borough in the “What’s happening in my area?” section, and because sustainability and environmental concerns are important to Community 1st, there’s an interactive quiz application within the ‘Green’ section, the results of which are provided to the user in the format of an energy performance certificate.
The site is designed to be managed and updated by the client and makes use of social networking channels like Twitter and Facebook via its blog/news section.
